To apply and receive an EBC scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Admission Criteria for EBC Scholarship
Students must take Admission Through the Central Admission Process i.e. CAP round. Students admitted through the central admission process, known as CAP rounds conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell, are eligible.

A resident of Maharashtra:
The applicant must be a Maharashtra resident, and those from the Maharashtra-Karnataka border can also apply for the scheme.
ही सवलत फक्त महाराष्ट्र रहिवाशी प्रमाणपत्र असणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यास लागू असेल. इतर राज्यातील रहिवाशी विद्यार्थी अपात्र. महाराष्ट्र कर्नाटक सीमेवरील विद्यार्थी या योजनेसाठी अर्ज दाखल करू शकतात.
Income limit
The family annual income limit is up to Rs. 8 lakh.
कुटुंबाचे एकूण वार्षिक उत्पन्न ८ लाखापेक्षा कमी असणे आवश्यक.
Children limit
As per the Government Resolution, the first two children are eligible for the scheme.
एकूण अपत्यांपैकी पहिले दोन अपत्य या सवलतीचा फायदा घेऊ शकतात.
Category:
Candidates who are admitted under the general category are eligible. This scholarship is available for all students, including the Open, SC, ST, OBC, NT, and VJ category students.
Aadhaar Card Seeded Bank Account:
The candidate shall possess an Aadhaar-Seeded bank account having a centralized banking system facility.
No Other Scholarship allowed
The candidate should not apply for or avail of any other scholarship or stipend. The candidate should not avail of the benefit of other categories. अर्जदाराने इतर कोणत्याही शिष्यावृतीचा लाभ घेतलेला नसावा
NO GAP or Less Than 2 Years GAP
If the candidate has a gap of 2 years, not eligible for an EBC scholarship.
Other Criteria
The candidate must attempt every semester or annual exam. If admitted in Distance Education, virtual learning and part-time courses, the candidate will not be eligible for an EBC scholarship.
This scheme applies to those students who are appearing for any of the following courses:
Courses from GR 07/10/17 (DHE courses) can apply.
EBC scholarship is applicable for government-approved courses.
EBC scholarship is not applicable if the candidate is studying in Private Universities or Self-financed Private Universities.
